It's Rigel.

I really wish I could record all of my thoughts on the Eurovision Song Contest. It's so complex, so intricate, that I often spend far too long mulling over the contest, sometimes forgetting that I'm just a wee 20 year old boy living in East Asia.

Sometimes I try to record videos encapsulating my thoughts, but sometimes my thoughts are so numerous that this is simply not possible. I also happen to occasionally get stage fright even when simply speaking into a microphone with no literal audience listening to me talk. One time, this was the difference between me taking 6 hours to record 5 minutes of footage, versus taking only 2 hours and completing the recording of my Scotland video. And with my thoughts getting more and more convoluted, and my university schedule getting more and more packed, there just isn't the time for me to speak my mind, essentially.

That's why I'm gonna write my mind. Videos will still continue, but perhaps in addition to these blog posts - perhaps I'll just mention in the video to check out the accompanying blog post for a certain video for more detailed thoughts that I didn't think about when recording the video, and possibly to give updates on changing situations. Sometimes I might not even post a video with a blog post, or perhaps just an extremely trimmed down version of that post, so as to not make every video feel like a podcast episode.

I'm also going to write more than just about Eurovision. I'm frankly not much of a pop culture person, but there are some non-ESC topics that already come to mind. We'll see what happens with those.

The timing of these posts will not be regular either, just like my videos. This goes without saying but I'm not getting paid to voice these videos or write these posts, I'll do them whenever I see fit and whenever I can take the time out to do so.
