National Finals Reaction: Various Countries (2023)

For the 1.5 people who for some reason follow this blog but not me on Twitter, I'll paste a few tweet threads here so you can check my reactions to some national finals. University's just started and I'm afraid I don't have the time or the will to hand-paste every single reaction into its own separate blog post at the moment. Warning(?): strong language may be used occasionally if you care, because Twitter me is not always blogger me. Keep in mind though, some of these aren't full reactions, and I may just be judging on some snippets depending on what was available at the time of thread creation, and opinion may well have changed since the full versions came out. With that said, here are the national selections that I'd not made a blog post for since Eesti Laul:

• Eurosong (Belgium) (this was on snippets; the format of the national final made it somewhat hard to rank all the 14 songs (especially since 7 of them never even made it to the Paleis 12 stage), so I just didn't bother)

• Benidorm Fest

• Selectia Nationala

• Supernova

• Melodi Grand Prix (pending heat 3)

• Eurosong (Ireland)

• Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu

• Pabandom Iš Naujo

• Dora

• ESCZ (possibly not the actual competing songs)

As of writing this, I've just finished ranking Dora, which you can check in the tweet thread that I posted just above ESCZ. If I remember, I'll make separate blog posts for upcoming national finals, but here's this if for whatever reason you follow the blog but not me on Twitter where I'm far more active.
